2File Processing & Ephemeral Storage Policy
Our core design principle is ephemeral privacy. When you upload a file to convert, compress, or edit:
Default 2-Hour Auto-Deletion
By default, both original uploaded files and processed result files are queued for immediate deletion and permanently wiped from our server drives within 2 hours of completion.
Optional Cloud Storage for Subscribers
Users on eligible paid plans (Pro or Enterprise) may explicitly opt in to "Permanent Cloud Storage" within workspace settings. When enabled, processed media is retained until the user chooses to delete it.
No Public Exposure
Your files are stored using cryptographically random file identifiers. No public directory listing is ever enabled, and files are inaccessible to search engines or unauthorized users.
3Information We Collect
We collect minimal information required to operate our service reliably:
- Account Information: When you register or authenticate through OAuth (such as Google or Facebook), we receive your name, email address, and avatar image. We do not receive or store your third-party account passwords.
- Billing Information: Payments and subscriptions are processed by our payment partner, Stripe. We never see or store full credit card numbers or banking credentials. We only retain tokenized transaction receipts and subscription status.
- Usage & System Diagnostics: We record aggregate metrics including the number of operations performed, job execution durations, and error traces (via Sentry) to fix bugs and prevent platform abuse.
- Cookies and Session Tokens: We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and store your interface preferences (such as dark mode or cookie consent preferences).
4Advertising & Third-Party Services
To support free access to our tools, MediaCraftTools may display web advertising:
- Google AdSense: When enabled, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
